Call for Nominations: 2014 CA Urban Forestry Awards

CaUFC is eager to accept your nominations for the 2014 CA Urban Forestry Awards. These awards celebrate excellence in California Urban Forestry for the calendar year 2013. Winners will be announced and honored at the 2014 CA U&CF Conference in San Diego in June.

5 Nomination Categories:

  • Urban  Forestry Education Award

  • Urban Forestry Volunteer of the Year

  • Community Building with Trees

  • Best Urban Forestry Program

  • Outstanding Urban Forestry Project of the Year

IFGU – Tree Planting Success!

February 15th was our big day for the Invest From the Ground Up Community Tree Planting Program and it was a smashing success.  The final numbers will be out next month, but it is safe to say that over 1,000 volunteers came out, and 1,264 trees were planted at 19 unique projectsRead the full recap here.

 When the trees we planted are fully grown, they will remove 53.72 tons of CO2 and 12,640 pounds of pollutants every year!

 


Tree San Diego – Looking for Board Members
