“Equity Session”
Each session is custom-designed for the audience and what their goals are, but generally, it will be 1.5+ hours and consist of about three of the following components:
- Introduction to Equity
- Defining Key Terms
- Interactive activities, small group discussions
- Fixed Mindset vs. Growth Mindset ==> Antiracist Growth Mindset
- Disruption for Good (why it is necessary to disrupt the status quo and institutionalized practices to be equity-advancing)
- Intro to Diversity and Inclusion
- Implicit Bias
- IMPACT Equity Toolkit Training — this is a longer training that provides simple tools (think “equity lens”) for looking at your own policies and practices and discovering inequities, finding evidence, and then making recommendations for change
