Fountaingrove II Open Space Maintenance Association (OSMA) is looking for volunteers to plant approximately 100 trees on Friday, April 26, 2019. Holes will be dug and trees placed in the holes, so that volunteers will add supplement tablets and dirt around the trees in the hole, stake the trees where needed and build deer-resistant cages. Trees are to be primarily planted along Fountaingrove Expressway and Rincon Ridge Drive. Tree planting tools and supplies will be provided.

Volunteers will meet at Rincon Ridge Park, the corner of Fountaingrove Expressway and Rincon Ridge Drive, at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2019. Members of California Urban Forests Council, OSMA’s certified forester and others will speak with the volunteers before planting commences about California’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gases, the role trees have in sequestering carbon, and why the varieties they will be planting were chosen.
