Thank you!
For your continued support and helping us to grow great neighborhoods across California. With the help of tree lovers like yourself, and our industry partners here are a couple of the things we are grateful for.
Cleaner air for Californian communities Our Invest from the Ground Up campaign partnered with West Coast Arborists and Western Chapter of International Society of Arborists to help plant trees across the state. 1,350 trees have already been planted by 1,042 residents in 10 communities to reduce carbon and limit emissions as part of the California Initiative to Reduce Carbon and Limit Emissions (CIRCLE). CIRCLE2.0 will be back planting 1,650 more tree in the spring of 2018. That’s 3,000 new trees that will create oxygen, sequester carbon, reduce urban heat, and bring numerous public health to these communities.
Being inspired by our urban forestry friends and colleagues Professionals from municipalities and public works, urban planning and design, arboriculture and the nursery industry, and community-based and public health organizations gathered together at our Life Among the Leaves conference to learn from each other how we can make our urban forests and communities more sustainable and resilient in the face of climate change and growing urban populations. Thank you to everyone who helped make this past year a success.
We look forward to the new year. Thank you again for your support. Have a warm and prosperous holiday season from all of us at the California Urban Forests Council.
