Invest From the Ground Up Community Campaign Success Stories
Albany and Bakersfield
We had an amazing summer with the Invest From the Ground Up community campaigns in Albany and Bakersfield. Over 300 trees requested by the community in Albany and businesses started appreciating the benefits and requesting trees in downtown Bakersfield!
Check out the outcomes and the exciting and creative tactics we used:

The Legislature is out for fall recess, but CaUFC is still busy advocating for urban forestry in Sacramento with our partners. See the Policy and Advocacy Update
for the latest information on: 1) CaUFC Efforts and 2) What You Can Do to Help! Including:
- 2014 Water Bond
- Proposition 39 Clean Energy and Jobs Act
- Climate Change/AB 32 Implementation – Scoping Plan Update, Cap and Trade Revenue Allocation, and Urban Forest Protocols Update
Fall is a great time to visit your State Legislators in their district offices and tell them about your great work in their district and how they can support our efforts in Sacramento. See the Policy and Advocacy Update for more information on reaching out to your State Legislators.
Solar and Trees Workshop Recap
If you missed the Solar and Trees Workshops this October in Davis and San Diego, you can still view the presentations.
We had amazing panelists and learned about upcoming policy changes. Plus we had interactive breakout sessions filled with fun and learning.
Participant: “I walked away enriched!”
Due to the positive feedback, we hope to offer more of these workshops throughout the state – Stay tuned!
