Invasive Shothole Borers in the Bay Area
March 14 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
$30Detection, monitoring, and management
What we feared has happened: the invasive shothole borers have arrived. Fortunately, our colleagues from Southern California will share their experiences with these pests at our day-long meeting in San Jose on Thursday, March 14.
The morning session will offer a comprehensive overview of the pests, including biology, identification, and management. This will be followed by 2 hours of hands-on training. Due to limited space, we’ll offer additional training sessions on Friday, March 15.
We’ll apply for 5 hours of ISA CEU credits for the meeting and 1.5 hours for the hands-on training.
Registration is open to BALSF and BAUFeC members, public agencies, commercial green industry professionals, and invited UC and UCMG personnel and volunteers. The fee is $30, including a boxed lunch.
