The Loma Prieta Chapter of the Sierra Club (that covers counties of San Mateo, Santa Clara and San Benito) has a forest protection committee and is looking for a member with urban forestry interests and knowledge to join the Loma Prieta Chapter Forest Protection committee.

Any Sierra Club member residing in San Mateo, Santa Clara and San Benito would be eligible. Please contact Arthur Boone for more information.
 

The California Urban Forest Council, Sacramento Region Chapter 2016/2017 Learn at Lunch Series begins on June 16.

These workshops provide advanced educational opportunities for urban forestry professionals (ISA CEU’s are requested for each session) and the public. Learn at lunch presentations are provided every two months.
