A life-long fascination of things natural that make up the “outside world” drove me to be part of that world experientially and educationally. Involvement politically came through Board governance. I have a keen interest in birds including issues around habitat and species sustainability. Working in habitats has furthered my interest in trees as integral elements of the environmental landscape.
As a native of California, I have long seen the social and physical benefits of mother nature. A focus of several Board experiences has been on the quality of life of Californians and its communities. My servitude with CAUFC has intensified this perspective defined by the continuing needs for urban forestry planning and funding. Arboreal education and the promotion of community canopies key my interests. I am proud of my contributions during my seven years as an Officer of this wonderful, progressive organization, and what CAUFC has accomplished to date to improve individual lives throughout the state.
